Employment litigation

We represent employers in class and individual employment litigation and regularly achieve defense summary judgments for employers. We also assist employers in the enforcement of employment agreements and covenants not to compete through appropriate injunctive relief. Our range of services does include the representation of individuals in protected status claims in which we and have achieved just resolutions. In addition, we represent clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, arbitrations, and due process hearings. We regularly assist clients in responding to charges and complaints filed with a broad range of administrative agencies, such as State Human Rights Commission, EEOC, OSHA, and Department of Labor.

Labor/Management Relations

We represent employers in the retail and service, manufacturing, and construction industries, as well as academic institutions, in all aspects of labor/management relations, including, union elections, union grievances, work stoppages, illegal strikes and strike violence, and statutory impasse resolution procedures. We have experience in representing employers in collective bargaining negotiations, and proceedings before the NLRB and state labor boards.

Employment Law Counseling and Training

We conduct compliance audits and management training on regulated workplace Dos and Don’ts, including topics such as sexual harassment, employment discrimination, disability accommodation, union management relations, and disciplining and terminating employees. We work with employers to develop affirmative action plans, employee handbooks, and personnel policies. We also advise employers concerning employment laws affecting the acquisition, sale, closure, or relocation of facilities and the enforcement of employment agreements and covenants not to compete.
