Antitrust
Attorneys for Morris Laing have experience in the prosecution
and defense of actions seeking recovery under the federal and state
antitrust laws. Attorneys with the firm have prosecuted class
actions seeking recovery for Sherman Act and state law violations.
The firm has also participated in the defense of companies charged
with antitrust violations. In 2004, attorneys with the firm
secured a nearly $4,000,000 verdict in favor of a retailer who
had been terminated pursuant to a vertical price fixing agreement.
That verdict was affirmed by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in
2006. Ken Peterson, Robert W. Coykendall and Tim J. Moore, and
other attorneys, practice in this area.
